Routine Cleaning

• Dry mop regularly to remove gritty dirt that can scratch and dull the finish. Use a high-quality microfiber dust mop.
• Wipe up spills promptly with a soft, damp cloth—especially milk, food, pet saliva, hairballs, and urine.
• Avoid wet mopping or allowing water to remain on the floor. When cleaning is necessary, use a lightly damp mop and a neutral floor cleaner approved for your floor’s finish.

Products to Avoid

Do not use oil soaps, waxes, lemon-based products, ammonia, abrasive cleaners, or excessive water. These products may damage the finish or leave residue.

Mr. Sandless wood cleaner is recommended for routine cleaning of compatible finished floors. Follow the product instructions and test it in an inconspicuous area first.

Prevent Scratches and Wear

• Place felt protectors beneath furniture legs and check them regularly for trapped dirt.
• Trim your pets’ nails and keep their paws clean.
• Use rugs or mats in high-traffic areas, including entrances, landings, and the top and bottom of stairs.
• Avoid rugs with rubber or latex backings unless they are approved for your floor’s finish.
• Never drag furniture or heavy objects across the floor.
