“We’re writing to report our complete satisfaction—perhaps “joy” would be more accurate—with the floor-refinishing services your people performed today on the bedroom flooring of our Manhattan apartment.

We’re convinced—and telling everyone we know: the Mr. Sandless™ system is the only way to go.

First, the back-story: We’d been postponing the machine-refinishing of this floor for twenty years. And for all the right reasons: the dust, the toxic fumes, and the ear-splitting noise—not to mention the justifiable complaints of the downstairs neighbors. We’d already experienced these negatives of floor refinishing in 1999, when we had our halls and dining room floors “scraped,” as they euphemistically refer to sanding. Even though these rooms were supposedly “sealed off” from the rest of our apartment, the grit permeated every nook and corner, including the highest shelves of the closets. Furthermore, the foul-smelling urethane did not dry for three days, requiring us to stay in a friend’s apartment.

Fast-forward to the dream-come-true story: Today we watched, fascinated, as your Mr. Sandless™ technicians accomplished their promised agenda. First they removed from our bedroom—without a murmur of complaint!—some colossally heavy and unwieldy modular furniture. Then they cheerfully set about ripping up, sectioning off for bagging, and then disposing of our seriously unsightly wall-to-wall carpeting, along with the disintegrating foam padding underneath. And this foam padding was attached to the floor with hundreds of staples.
